About Me

Hi, I’m Melissa Maskell.
I was called to this work because I struggled to find happiness after the death of my father.
I knew this work was needed because I watched my friend bury her 8-year-old son and I had no resources to support her.
I do this work now because it helps you cope with loss in a healthy way, instead of wrong ways many of us were taught.
In the past, I felt helpless after loss. I don’t want my children to feel that way when they experience loss.
I’ll teach them how to accumulate things, and how to lose them. My children will inevitably lose me. But first, I will leave a lasting impact that will help guide them through the pain instead of getting stuck in it.
My dream is to create a community of adults and kids whose new belief systems and healthy coping mechanisms prepare them for loss and grief.
